Ingredients

How to make it

  • Bring 6 cups of water to boil. Add jamaica, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Boil on low simmer for about 30-45 minutes until a dark red.
  • Add the chopped piloncillo and stir constantly until disolved. Once disolved remove from heat and let cool for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Place strainer over 4 qt pitcher and pour mixture through to strain flowers. Remove strainer and add remaining cold water to fill 4 qt pitcher and sugar. You may add more sugar if you desire a more sweet drink. Stir until dissolved.
  • Serve immediately or let stand overnight for best taste.
