How to make it

  • Place the beef brisket in the liner of the slow cooker and top with the chopped onion.
  • In a bowl, combine the broth, steak sauce, ketchup, cinnamon, allspice, salt, pepper, and garlic.
  • Pour over the beef and onions. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Pour liquids into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Simmer briskly for 5 to 8 minutes to reduce by about one-third. Combine the flour with cold water and whisk until smooth.
  • Pour into the simmering liquid and stir, cooking, until thickened. Serve sauce with the sliced beef.
