How to make it

  • Boil carrots and potatoes until tender. Then drain. Add cooked chicken. Prepare gravy according to package directions. Add to chicken mixture along with peas, onion, parsley, salt and pepper. Then set aside.
  • Combine 5 rolls and roll out to fit bottom and sides of a 9-inch deep sprayed pie dish or pan. Bake at 350 F. for 5-10 minutes. Pour mixture into pre-bake crust.
  • Combine 3 rolls and roll out to form top crust. Place over pie, sealing edges. Roll the 2 remaining rolls into two thin 24-inch ropes. Twist the 2 ropes together and place around the edge of the pie. Bake at 350 F. for 30 – 40 minutes.

    I do like a good pot pie and this looks a good one. Don't take this wrong Ed but I live in Samoa. No frozen heat and serve rolls, no chicken gravy in a packet and I haven't seen dried onion chips. A dish that is easy for you can be a fair bit of work here. Next time I'm making baguettes or English muffins, etc. I may save part of the dough and make this but it isn't just dropping by the market and picking up packets of this and that and wham bam, thank you mam, out comes the dish. Think I'll have a plate of fresh Sashimi for lunch, that I can get. RJ
