Chicken Teriyaki

- 1/2c packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2c soy sauce shopping list
- 2T sweet sake, mirin, or dry sherry shopping list
- 1T grated onion shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 4 whole large chicken breasts, split, skinned, and boned shopping list
- cooking oil shopping list
How to make it
- Cook and stir first 5 ingredients till sugar dissolves.
- Cook 5 minutes or till syrupy; cool.
- Pour over chicken in shallow dish.
- Cover; refridgerate overnight, turning occasionally.
- Drain chicken; save marinade.
- Preheat both sides of grill on HIGH for 10 minutes. Turn both sides of grill to MEDIUM-HIGH.
- Brush grids with oil.
- Place chicken on grids; close hood and cook 15 to 20 minutes.
- Turn and baste often.
- Serves 8.
