a family favorite (especially @ christmas)
Ingredients
- 1 1/2cups bacon drippings (warm & strained) shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup white sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbsp.sour milk shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup raisins shopping list
- 1 cup nuts (if desired) shopping list
- 4 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda shopping list
- 1 tsp.salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp.allspice shopping list
- 1 tsp. ginger shopping list
- 1/4 tsp.cloves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp.nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- mix bacon dripping
- br. sugar
- white sugar
- the sour milk & eggs
- stir in the raisins & nuts
- add flour with the spices added to it.
- mix well with mixer (I use food processor)
- refrig. over night
- roll in balls & flatten with hand
- Bake in 350 oven for 10 minutes or until brown
