Herbed Beer Bread

- 3 cups self rising flour shopping list
- 3 TBSP. granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 TBSP. dried Italian herbs or(1tsp.each oregano, basil & thyme) shopping list
- 12 oz.beer @ room temp,. shopping list
- 1/2cup parmesan cheese (grated) shopping list
- 1 TBSP. shortening shopping list
- 3 TBSP. cornmeal shopping list
- 2 TBSP. soft butter shopping list
How to make it
- In large mixing bowl combine, the flour, sugar, cheese & dried herbs
- Mix well to combine
- Stir in the room temperture beer to produce a stiff batter
- preheat oven to 325 F
- Grease a loaf-pan with shortening & sprinkle bottom & sides with
- cornmeal
- Turn batter into pan Bake at 325 for about 65 minutes
- Brush baked loaf with softened butter & sprinkle with additional cornmeal (if desired)
- turn out & cool on rack
