How to make it

  • In large mixing bowl combine, the flour, sugar, cheese & dried herbs
  • Mix well to combine
  • Stir in the room temperture beer to produce a stiff batter
  • preheat oven to 325 F
  • Grease a loaf-pan with shortening & sprinkle bottom & sides with
  • cornmeal
  • Turn batter into pan Bake at 325 for about 65 minutes
  • Brush baked loaf with softened butter & sprinkle with additional cornmeal (if desired)
  • turn out & cool on rack
