Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat large skillet that has a lid to fit to medium high and brown the hamburger
  • As hamburger begins to brown add the chopped green pepper and garlic to the skillet.
  • If necessary drain the hamburger and return to stove.
  • Add the water, diced tomatoes, rice, tomato paste, chili powder, salt and pepper and bay leaves.
  • Stir it a bit to mix it all together
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  • Remove bay leaves and serve and enjoy.
  • I have also put it in tortilla's for a beefy spanish rice burrito which is very tasty to me anyways. :)
