Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a frying pan, melt butter and add onions. Cook onions til brown. Mix in ground beef and stir in soy sauce and seasonings slowly. Cook until brown. Stir in tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a large pot, add chilli beans and 2 cups of water. After beef mixture has simmered, stir in with beans. Add hot sauce (as hot as you would like it). Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and keep hot for about 30 more minutes. The longer the chilli sits, the better it tastes!! Great for leftovers!!

And by the way, the soy sauce makes the lean ground beef not taste so lean. :) It's a nice trick that my mother came up with...if you use ground turkey the soy sauce makes it taste more beefy. :)
