chewy ginger button biscuits

- 60 grams butter shopping list
- ½ cup golden syrup shopping list
- ¼ cup honey shopping list
- 1 ¾ cup plain flour shopping list
- 1 tsp bicarb soda shopping list
- 2 tsp ground ginger shopping list
- about 10 squares melted dark chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- - Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- - Increase heat to high and add golden syrup and honey. Bring to the boil, then remove from heat, pour into a large mixing bowl and allow to cool 10 minutes.
- - Sift the remaining ingredients (except chocolate) into the butter mixture. Stir until well combined. Cover and set aside for an hour or so, until dough is firm.
- - Preheat oven to 180ºc.
- - Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place on a baking tray, about 3 cm apart. Flatten balls with the back of a spoon.
- - Bake for 7-10 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool on tray.
- - When cool, dip the bottoms in melted chocolate and allow to set on a chilled, baking paper lined baking tray.
