Agedashidofu

- tofu - 揚げ出し豆腐 shopping list
- 1 block very firm tofu shopping list
- 3-5 green onions ( 3-5 ネギ) shopping list
- ginger (or ginger paste) (生姜) shopping list
- potato starch - Enough to fill a small bowl (片栗粉 ) shopping list
- dashi Sauce: 出汁 shopping list
- dashisauce (Store bought or homemade)3 Tablespoons(出汁: 3 大さじ ) shopping list
- water (みず) - 9 Table Spoons (9 大さじ) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat canola oil
- Wash hands (て を あらう)
- Cut the tofu into slice about 3/4 of an inch thick, then cut those in half again. (とうふ を きる)
- Sponge excess water off with paper towel, then coat the tofu with potato starch (片栗粉 を つける)
- Fry the Tofu till it it slightly brown on one side, then flip it, then take it out and place it on paper towel.(あぶら で あげる)
- Mix the Water(みず) and Dashi Sauce(出汁) Together. (出汁 を つくる)
- 出汁 を かける と ネギ を きる ( pour it on the fried tofu! place chopped green onions and shredded/and or ginger paste on top. enjoy!)
