Smothered Steak

- 2 steaks for stove top cooking ( bone in or boneless, lean cuts preferred ) shopping list
- marinade: shopping list
- Use any bottled favorite or you own consisiting of olive shopping list
- oill,red wine vinegar, and any leftoverr wine shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- vegetables shopping list
- 1 large tomato shopping list
- 1 large onion shopping list
- 1 large green bell pepper shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic shopping list
How to make it
- Marinade steaks overnight or at least 4 hours,
- In a skillet with a little oil, saute the onions, peppers, garlic, tomatoes till softened
- Then add the steak with it's marinade, covering top of meat with some of the mixture
- Bring to a boil then cover and simmer at a gentle bubble until the meat is fork tender (1 to 2 hours )
- Serve the steak with the sauce poured over it
