- 7 Cups cooking apples,peeled,cut thinly shopping list
- 1/3 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon Quick Cooking tapioca shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt shopping list
- 1/2 Cup rolled oats shopping list
- 1/2 brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 flour shopping list
- 1/4 Real butter shopping list
- ~For your Porter Sauce~ shopping list
- 1 Cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Heavy double cream shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Porter beer shopping list
- 2 Tablspoon Light Color corn syrup shopping list
How to make it
- Combine apples,sugar,tapioca,lemon juice,apple pie spice,and salt.
- Place in 8x8x2 inch foil pan.
- With a pastry blender,or,two forks,cut in the butter with the oats,brown sugar,and flour,until it looks coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle over apple mixture.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Place pan on center of rack in grill.
- Close top on grill,and grill for 15 minutes.
- Uncover pan close top on grill,and grill for 30 minutes.
- Until nice and bubbly.
- Remove from grill but keep warm.
- ~For your Porter Sauce~
- In pan,combine all ingredients for sauce.
- Bring to boil,reduce to simmer,and cook for about 12 minutes,or,until your sauce is to your liking in consistency.
- ~To Serve~Pour hot porter sauce over grilled apple crisp,scoop up a nice vanilla Ice cream and place it along side of the dessert...pouring just a thimble full of Porter Beer over...and then...give it a pinch of apple pie spice~
