True Chili

- 1 med onion shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic shopping list
- 1 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 1 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1 tblsp Cholula hot sauce shopping list
- 1 beer – Shiner Bock preferred, Mexican beer alternate shopping list
- 1 diced fire roasted red pepper shopping list
- 1 4oz. can of diced green chilis shopping list
- 1 6-ish oz can of chili verde shopping list
- 1 6-ish oz can of green chili salsa shopping list
- 1 5.5 to 6 oz can of Snappy Tom, can use spicy hot V8 is alternate shopping list
- 1 6-ish oz can Chipotle chilis in adobo sauce – use two or three chilis minced with all adobo sauce shopping list
- 1 15 oz. can of black beans – drained shopping list
- 1 15 oz. can of pinto beans – drained shopping list
- 1 15 oz can of kidney beans – drained shopping list
- 2 15 oz cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes, 1 can and 1 can of diced tomatoes, or 2 cans of diced tomatoes alternate shopping list
- 1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes with green chilis shopping list
- 2 lbs. ground turkey (Can use combo of other meats) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown meat in skillet, drain
- Combine remaining ingredients in large slow cooker and add browned meat.
- Slow cook for 4 hrs minimum with lid, stirring occasionally
- Makes 8 to 10 bowls
- Top with shredded Cheddar and Jack cheese
- Serve with:warm corn tortillas and butter and/or tortilla chips
- Lots of Beer, Shiner Bock, Tecate, etc.
