Brown Sugar Cashew Bars

- 1/2 c packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2/3 c butter,softened shopping list
- 1.2 c corn syrup shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 c flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/3 c brown sugar shopping list
- 1/3 c corn syrup shopping list
- 1/4 c butter shopping list
- 1/4 c heavy cream shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 can (9.5 oz) cashew haves and pieces shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350' Grease bottom and sides of 15x10" pan with shortening,or line with foil. Mix 1/2 c brown sugar,2/3 c butter,1/2 c corn syrup,1 tsp vanilla and egg in large bowl with spoon. Stir in flour and salt. Spread in pan. Bake 18-20 mins or till light golden brown.
- Cook 1/3 c brown sugar and 1/3 c corn syrup in 1-1/2 qt saucepan over low heat,stirring constantly,until sugar is dissolved. Stir in 1/4 c butter and heavy cream. Heat to boiling over med heat;remove from heat. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla.
- Sprinkle cashews over crust. Pour cooked mixture over cashews;spread evenly. Bake 15-20 mins or till light brown and set. Cool completely,about 1 hour
- For bars,cut into 10 rows by 6 rows.
