Grilled Clams With Basil Breadcrumbs

- 1-1/2 c coarse bread crumbs,toasted shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic,minced shopping list
- 3 Tbs good olive oil shopping list
- 2 Tbs fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 6 sun-dried tomato halves in oil,drained and coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 c fresh chopped basil leaves shopping list
- 1/4 c toasted pine nuts shopping list
- 3/4 tsp Kosher salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper shopping list
- 24 littleneck clams,scrubbed clean shopping list
- 2-1/2 Tbs melted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Heat gas grill or prepare charcoal grill with hot coals.
- Combine bread crumbs,garlic,olive oil,lemon juice,sun-dried tomatoes,basil,pine nuts,salt and pepper in large serving bowl and set aside.
- When grill is hot,place clams in 1 layer on hot grate and aloow heat to open clams. They'll open gradually for about 5 mins,then pop-open wide when they're done. Using tongs,remove the clams from the grill and place them in the bowl with bread crumb mixture and toss together. Drizzle with melted butter and serve hot. Yum!
