Sakkarai Pongal

- rice - 1 cup shopping list
- moongdal - 1/4 cup shopping list
- ghee(clarified butter) - 2 tbl shopping list
- jaggery - 1 cup shopping list
- milk - 3 cup shopping list
- cashew nuts - 10 shopping list
- crushed cardamom - 2 shopping list
- raisins - 10 shopping list
How to make it
- clean and wash the rice and dal.
- Add milk to the rice and dal and cook till they become soft.
- mix jaggery with water and boil it until it dissolves in water and become thick.
- Then mix this with cooked rice.
- stir well in medium heat
- add ghee and crushed cardamom
- combine well.
- garnish with cashew and raisins and serve hot.
- you can also use fried cashew and raisins.
