Chocolate Brownie With Warm Chocolate Sauce

- Brownie: 150g butter, chopped shopping list
- 300g dark chocolate, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cups brown sugar (300g) shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup plain flour (150g) shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream (120g) shopping list
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped (60g) shopping list
- ice cream for serving shopping list
- Warm chocolate Sauce: 150g dark chocolate, chopped coarsely shopping list
- 1 cup cream (250ml) shopping list
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (75g) shopping list
- 2 tspn Tia Maria/Kahlua/Baileys shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 180C. Line the base and sides of a 20cm by 30cm lamington pan with baking paper.
- Combine butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan, stir over a low heat until chocolate is melted. Transfer the chocolate mix to a medium bowl and stir in the sugar.
- Stir the lightly beaten eggs into the chocolate mix, then the sifted flour, sour cream and hazelnuts.
- Spread the mix into the prepared pan. Bake for about 30mins.
- Cool in pan.
- Sauce: Combine the chocolate, cream and sugar in a small saucepan. Stir over a low heat until the mix is smooth; simmer, uncovered for 1 min. Remove form the heat then stir in the liqueur.
