How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 180C. Line the base and sides of a 20cm by 30cm lamington pan with baking paper.
  • Combine butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan, stir over a low heat until chocolate is melted. Transfer the chocolate mix to a medium bowl and stir in the sugar.
  • Stir the lightly beaten eggs into the chocolate mix, then the sifted flour, sour cream and hazelnuts.
  • Spread the mix into the prepared pan. Bake for about 30mins.
  • Cool in pan.
  • Sauce: Combine the chocolate, cream and sugar in a small saucepan. Stir over a low heat until the mix is smooth; simmer, uncovered for 1 min. Remove form the heat then stir in the liqueur.
