Ingredients

How to make it

  • discard any fat from the beef and cut into long strips
  • heat the oil in a large wok or heavy based pan
  • add the onions and stir fry until soften
  • remove from pan and set aside
  • in the same pan add the beef and stir fry for a few minutes
  • remove and set aside
  • in the same pan melt the butter
  • add the ginger, garlic, thyme, parsley, onions and beef strips
  • stir fry well
  • in the beef stock add the flour, soya sauce and tomato paste
  • mix well
  • pour over the beef
  • add the beer
  • simmer on low heat fro about 30 minutes
  • once the sauce has thicken and the meat soft remove from heat
  • add salt and pepper according to taste
  • enjoy!!!

    I'm wondering if it's ok to try the beer first..... just to make sure its good enough to cook with.
