Beef Simmered In Beer

- 1 kg beef shopping list
- 2 large onions (sliced sideways-break into rings) shopping list
- 1 cube beef stock dissolved in a half a cup of hot water shopping list
- 3 tbs plain four shopping list
- 3 tbs cooking oil shopping list
- 2 tbs butter shopping list
- 1 tbs crushed ginger shopping list
- 1 tbs crushed garlic shopping list
- 2 tbs soya sauce shopping list
- 1tbs tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tbs fresh thyme shopping list
- 1 can beer (330 ml)..any brand shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- discard any fat from the beef and cut into long strips
- heat the oil in a large wok or heavy based pan
- add the onions and stir fry until soften
- remove from pan and set aside
- in the same pan add the beef and stir fry for a few minutes
- remove and set aside
- in the same pan melt the butter
- add the ginger, garlic, thyme, parsley, onions and beef strips
- stir fry well
- in the beef stock add the flour, soya sauce and tomato paste
- mix well
- pour over the beef
- add the beer
- simmer on low heat fro about 30 minutes
- once the sauce has thicken and the meat soft remove from heat
- add salt and pepper according to taste
- enjoy!!!
