Beef 'n' Pork Burgers

- 4 bacon strips, diced shopping list
- 1 large onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 garlic clove, minced shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 egg, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes shopping list
- 2 to 3 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1 pound ground pork shopping list
- 8 hamburger buns, split and toasted shopping list
- mayonnaise or salad dressing, lettuce leaves and tomato slices shopping list

How to make it
- In a small skillet, cook bacon, onion and garlic over medium heat until the bacon is crisp; drain and place in a small bowl. Stir in the bread crumbs, egg, water, parsley, salt, marjoram, paprika and pepper. Crumble beef and pork over the mixture and mix well. Shape into eight 3/4-in.-thick patties.
- Grill, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until meat is no longer pink. Serve on buns with mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato.
