Strawberry Cream Cake

- 1 (18-1/4 oz) angel food cake mix, baked according to directions shopping list
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk shopping list
- 1/3 cup lemon juice shopping list
- 1 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 1 (8 oz) carton Cool Whip or whipped cream shopping list
- Additional strawberries. shopping list
How to make it
- Bake cake and cool completely. Cut a 1-inch slice from the top of cake and set aside. Cut one inch from center hole and outer edge and remove center of cake, pulling with fingers. Leave on inch at bottom.
- Beat cream cheese. Add sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and almond extract. Fold in cake pieces and strawberries. Spoon in center of cake. Top with reserved top slice. Chill 8 hours or overnight. May frost with Cool Whip and additional strawberries.
