Ingredients

How to make it

  • Before putting on the flame, pour out contents of soup can into a small pot, then fill the can back up with milk. Mix for a few moments to blend.
  • Turn on flame to medium-high.
  • Chop up the butter into small pieces so they melt better/faster in the soup.
  • Put in the sugar and cayenne, mix well.
  • Allow the soup to heat through but DO NOT let it come to a full boil.
  • Serve immediately with toast or crackers and feel better.
  • Just an FYI, you should probably soak the pot in soapy water as soon as possible, or you'll have a hell of a time trying to scrub it out later. I'm just sayin'.

I like to put shredded cheese in mine. Thanks for reminding me of what a great bowl of soup this is!

I love this, it's the same way I make mine minus the sugar and cayenne. Sometime I will put some rice in it, other times I just like it with lots of saltines.
