How to make it

  • stew dates in enough water to just cover them and add 100gm of sugar
  • cream butter with sugar add flour and eggs and beat
  • liquidize the dates and cool slightly then fold into cake mixture
  • put in cake tin and bake for approx 45 mins on 150 degrees
  • for the sauce make a syrup with sugar and water add chocolate and whisk then add cream
  • serve when cake is done wram or cold

    I recently tried Sticky Toffee Pudding for the first time... first time ever eating or making it. It was very good. No chocolate in mine, but I could certainly see the appeal of this popular dish on your side of the world! Great post. :)
