Shoo Fly Cake

from Pennsylvania, a very moist coffee cake with ingredients similar to the famous shoofly pie. This is delcious!
Ingredients
- Shoo-Fly cake shopping list
- Mix together and set aside: shopping list
- 1 C. molasses shopping list
- 2 1/4 C. boiling water shopping list
- 1 T. baking soda shopping list
- Mix together with your hands until crumbly: shopping list
- 4 C. all-purpose flour, unsifted shopping list
- 3/4 C. vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/2 t. salt shopping list
- 1 lb. light brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Reserve one cup of crumb mixture and mix the rest with the liquid.
- Pour the mixture into a 9" x 13" baking pan, and sprinkle with the
- reserved crumbs. (Mixture will not be thick like conventional cake
- batter). Bake at 350 F. degrees for 45 minutes
