Pawpaw's Deviled Eggs
From micuisine 14 years agoIngredients
- 2 dozen eggs, (Older ones peel better.) shopping list
- Approx 3 TBLS mayonnaise (Hellmans) shopping list
- Approx 2 TBLS Miracle Whip shopping list
- Approx 1/4 teaspoon French's mustard, (very little) shopping list
- 2 or 3 TBLS sweet pickle relish shopping list
- (These measurements are guesses. I do know that if you don't put any mustard in, they don't taste right. - Even for mustard haters.) shopping list
How to make it
- Follow your cookbook's recommended method of hard boiling eggs. Let them cool.
- Peel eggs and rinse under water to get off any egg shell bits.
- Cut eggs in half length-wise. Put egg yolks in a mixing bowl. Set aside egg white sections for later.
- Mash egg yolks, put in about 3 TBLS mayonnaise, 2 TBLS Miracle Whip, try 1/4 tsp mustard, 2 or 3 TBLS sweet pickle relish. Stir together.
- Taste. Too dry, add a little more mayonaise or a little sweet pickle liquid. If it doesn't taste right, you may want to try just a little more mustard.
- When flavor is to your liking, grab a spoon and start filling the egg halves.
- If you want more color, you can sprinkle a little paprika on top of your stuffed eggs.
- Refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.
