Breakfast Apple Pie

- 1 cup cornflakes shopping list
- unbaked 9-inch pie shell shopping list
- 5 large tart apples (unpeeled and sliced thin, sprinkled with maple syrup) shopping list
- 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar (brown preferred) shopping list
- 7 Tablespoons butter in small pieces shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Put cornflakes in pie shell. Put apple slices over cornflakes. Set aside. Put remaining ingredients in bowl. Using a pastry blender or your fingers, work butter into flour until the mixture resembles irregular breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the crumbs evenly over the apple slices. Bake the pie for 10 minutes at 450 degrees then reduce the heat to 350 and continue to bake for about 35 minutes or until apples are tender and bubbling. Serve warm.
