Quick Apple Shortcake

This is different from your normal shortcake....This is also a favorite out of the Southern Living Magazine Feb 93 Issue..this is called a Winter Shortcake
Ingredients
- 1 package apple cinnamon muffin mix (7oz) shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- apple Cinammon Sauce: shopping list
- 1 (28 oz) jar fried apple slices, undrained shopping list
- 1/4 cup raisins shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Combine first 4 ingredients, stirring just until blended.
- Pour into a greased and floured 9 in round cake pan.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
- To serve cut into wedges and top with apple-cinnamon sauce.
- Apple Cinnamon Sauce:
- Combine all ingredients in a suacepan; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes.
- Cool.
