Bacon-cheeseburger Potato Pie

- 1 1/2 lbs extra-lean ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/8 cup dried onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 2 tsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 tsp yellow mustard shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 2 cups instant potato flakes shopping list
- 3 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- 2 cups shredded old cheddar cheese shopping list
- bacon bits or pre-cooked bacon, crumbled. shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 375 F. In a medium bowl mix beef, crumbs, onion, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, mustard and salt.
- Press mixture into bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch glass pie plate and bake 15 minutes.
- In a 3 qt saucepan bring water, butter, garlic powder and salt to a boil. Remove from heat and add milk. Stir in mashed potato flakes and blend with a fork.
- Stir in all but 1/2 c up of the cheese.
- Remove partially baked beef crust from the oven and pour off any drippings.
- Spoon and spread potato mixture evenly into crust. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until beef is cooked through.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon and return to the over 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
