Sausage Cake

- 1/2 lb. mild bulk sausage shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups of sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups of flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of allspice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon of cloves shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup of shredded granny smith apples shopping list
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/2 pint of heavy cream shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of sugar shopping list
- sprinkle of cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Cream the sausage and the sugar. (The sausage is your "butter").
- Add eggs and beat well for five minutes.
- Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with the milk.
- Fold in apples and pecans.
- Pour into 10 tube pan that is well greased and floured.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
- Cool.
- Serve with a fresh whipped cream, beaten with a little sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
