How to make it

  • Preparation:
  • Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla, salt, eggs and flour. Mix well. With well floured hands, form into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with a little 10x sugar bottom of glass
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Cool.
  • Mix together ingredients for white icing.
  • Frost half of each cookie with white icing.
  • Mix ingredients for chocolate icing and frost remaining halves of cookies.

    Ever since I saw tho Seinfeld show where they talked about the black and white cookie, I have wanted to try one.

    This is what they said on the show:
    "The key to eating a black and white cookie, is you want to get some black and some white in each bite. Nothing mixes better than vanilla and chocolate. And yet, still, somehow racial harmony eludes us. If people would only look to the cookie. All our problems would be solved."
