Cheezy Turkey Gobble Ups Recipe

Ingredients

6 english muffins or hamburger buns

Butter for spreading

2 large avocadoes

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 medium red onion, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

3 cups sliced or diced leftover turkey meat

12 slices Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack cheese

2 large tomatoes, sliced

*Optional: crumbled cooked bacon

Directions

Preheat broiler.

Split muffins or buns in half, butter and place on a cookie sheet and broil to toast.

Meanwhile, mash avocadoes in a bowl, and add mayonnaise, minced onion and salt and pepper.

When muffin halves are toasted, spread with avocado mixture.

Top each with a slice of tomato, turkey meat and a slice of chese.

Return to oven and broil until cheese melts, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Serve hot.

*Optional: top sandwiches with bacon before adding cheese and broiling.
