How to make it

  • Place steak in a large sealable plastic bag
  • Pour dressing and soy sauce over the steak and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight
  • Preheat grill to medium-high or turn on the broiler
  • Remove steak from marinade and discard marinade
  • Season steak with salt and pepper and chili powder
  • Grill steak about 7 to 8 minutes on each side for medium-rare or to desired doneness
  • In a small bowl, mix together mayo and chopped chipotle pepper, adding a little of the adobo sauce
  • Cut bread loaf in half lengthwise
  • Spread cut sides of bread with mayo mixture
  • Place steak on bottom of loaf, top with cheese, if using,onion and lettuce
  • Close sandwich, cut into six pieces and serve immediately, or chill and serve cold

    This sounds delicious and would go good with those bar-b-q baked onion rings. I will make this for lunch this weekend for the hubby.
