Mom's Porcupine Meatballs

- 2 8 oz cans tomato sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef (Use any lean ground meat) shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry instant white rice, uncooked shopping list
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Mix tomato sauce & sugar in large skillet; set aside.
- Combine egg, meat, rice, Worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper in large bowl. Shape into1 inch balls. Place in skillet with sauce, spoon over meatballs.
- Cook over medium heat until sauce comes to a boil. Cover skillet with lid. Reduce heat to low; simmer 20 minutes, or until meatballs are completely cooked. (I always use ground turkey, so I do cook the meatballs longer)
