Lentil Spaghetti Bolognese

- one large onion shopping list
- two cloves garlic (add more for adults +1/2 glass red wine) shopping list
- 150g dried red lentils shopping list
- mushrooms - as many as you want shopping list
- bouillon powder shopping list
- brown or white spaghetti shopping list
- cans tomatoes x 2 shopping list
- cheese and basil (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Gently fry the onions and garlic in a drop of olive oil. Add the lentils and fry gently until pale.
- Add two cans of tomatoes. Pop in a teaspoon or two of bouillon.Stir well and simmer for half an hour.
- If the sauce looks too thick, add some boiled water, during the cooking time.
- Boil spaghetti as per pack or serve on a baked potato,
- Sprinkle with some chopped fresh basil or a handful of grated cheese.

Lentils are way too crunchy for my taste. All else is just wonderful, kinda, sorta.
