Spinach Feta Burger

- 1/2 lb lean ground beef (I used 90/10 sirloin) shopping list
- 2 oz. crumbled feta cheese shopping list
- 1 cup chopped baby spinach shopping list
- Montreal steak seasoning, to taste (I used about 1 1/2 tsp) shopping list
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce, divided shopping list
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke (I used Hickory flavored) shopping list
- water, enough to cover the bottom of the skillet you're using shopping list
- 2 whole grain buns, toasted shopping list
- condiments & toppings of your choice (I used artisan lettuce, tomato, Dijon mustard, and a bit of mayo). shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl combine meat, cheese, spinach, seasoning, and 1/2 tsp Worcestershire. Mix well. Heat skillet with water, remaining Worcestershire and liquid smoke over medium-high. Meanwhile, form patties. Once skillet is hot, place patties in and cover. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until burgers reach desired done-ness. Serve w/your favorite fixings.
