Ham And Split Pea Soup

- Serves 6
Husband told me he hated Pea Soup.....maybe he did but he loves mine.
Ingredients
- 1 ham bone with plenty of meat left on it shopping list
- 1 16 oz. package green split peas shopping list
- 2 carrots, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 6 cups water shopping list
- 1 packet ham concentrate shopping list
How to make it
- Clean and rinse peas
- To dutch oven, add all ingredients
- Bring to boil
- Reduce heat to simmer and cook until peas are tender
- Remove remaining meat from bone and add back to soup
- Enjoy!!

Man, too bad I don't eat ham, but Rick does..This sounds just like the split pea soup his Mom made that he still talks about:) .I could do like Janet does and make 2 pots, one with ham and one without!!! Bookmarked to try soon:)
