Spicy Orange Pecans

These nuts make a great gift or just put out in pretty bowl at the holidays.
Ingredients
- 4 c pecan halves(not salted) shopping list
- 2 TB orange juice(fresh is best) shopping list
- 1 large egg white shopping list
- 2 TB fresh orange zest shopping list
- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp kosher salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- pinch of black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 225. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In large bowl,combine pecansorange juice and egg white and toss to coat. In small bowl,combine orange zest,sugar,salt and spices.
- Add to the nuts and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread evenly on baking sheet and bake,stirring every 15 mins till they appear dry,about 1 hour. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.
