Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a small pot, saute chopped onion in oil till soft and clear.
  • In small bowl mix worcestershire sauce, chili powder, ketchup, and water. Add to cooked onions in pot. (I like to double these ingredients to have more gravy).
  • Bring to a boil and lower to a simmer.
  • Simmer 10-15 minutes on low heat.
  • Add chopped weenies and cook 20 minutes.
  • Serve over steamed rice

Nov 3/16 This is a great recipe but it does call for a little tweaking. If found that the ketchup was very predominate LOL it is the main ingredient so I did add a pinch of sugar which helped. As I said this is a great recipe as is but the next time I make this recipe I will be adding some garlic, either more Worcestershire sauce or add soya sauce and some dry herbs.

Wow, this is not what I was expecting at all when I clicked this recipe - it's BETTER! Always on look-out for foods that lend well to a buffet sort of presentation, like cocktail wieners, meatballs and the like. My mother's family has a Christmas Eve casual get-together and everyone brings a goodie to share with everyone. I'd not seen this recipe before and it sounds yum-E! thanks!
