How to make it

  • In a Dutch Oven or other heavy cooking pot, brown the pork in oil; add onions and saute’ until golden.
  • Add sausage, beef broth, rice, salt, black & red pepper & chili powder and mix well.
  • Cover pot, bring to boil, turn heat low and cook for 45 minutes stirring from time to time.
  • Serve with fresh, hot cornbread.
