How to make it

  • Saute onions in olive oil until translucent
  • Add mushrooms and continue cooking until soft
  • Add garlic and spices of choice and mix well
  • Add ham and combine
  • Stir in cream cheese until melted and creamy
  • Remove from heat and gently stir in broccoli, let mix cool while preparing pastry
  • Roll out pastry to form a large rectangle
  • Spread ham mixture down center of rectangle leaving 2 inches at each end .
  • Cut strips in pastry 1" wide from the outside edge towards the middle at an angle stopping 2" from center portion
  • Sprinkle Swiss and Cheddar cheeses down length of log
  • Fold up bottom flap, fold side strips over flap alternating sides, brush with egg while folding strips to help seal, fold in top flap and seal with last two strips
  • Bake at 400 for 40 minutes or until crisp and golden!
