Brownies Recipe
These are a family tradition. They are not chewy or cakey. Just soft light fudgy brownie with crackly shiny top. Do not overbake.

Ingredients
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • Whisk both together. Do not over beat these or they will become cake like and not fudgey.
  • Add:
  • 1 cup flour
  • Blend in and add to above:
  • 1 stick sweet butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Both melted together in sauce pan or microwave (if microwave watch carefully)
  • Cool slightly.
  • Add vanilla

Directions
  1. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.
  2. Sprinkle lightly (sparingly) with extra chocolate chips.
  3. Bake @ 325 for 25 to 30 minutes
  4. If using a glass dish to bake this. Bake 25 degrees less (@ 300)
  5. DO NOT OVERBAKE.

Delicious!!!


I tried these and they were delcious!


Followed this recipe to the letter, and they never cooked completely. There was a crusty "brownie" layer on the top, but it was a thin crust, and the rest of the pan was goo. I'm guessing there's not nearly enough flour in the recipe. Total failure.


Nope recipe is accurate. Something must have gone wrong. We have been making this recipe for over 20 years. It is fudgie but not gooey. DID you maybe add to many chocolate chips?
