This is amazing and never lasts when I serve it at catered events. The water chestnuts makes this dish stand out. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 large head of lettuce shredded
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 large green pepper chopped
  • 6 chopped green onions
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 package frozen peas uncooked
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small jar bacon bits

Directions
  1. In large salad bowl layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, green onions and water chestnuts.
  2. Add layer of frozen peas last.
  3. Mix mayonnaise and sugar together and spread on top of frozen peas.
  4. Sprinkle with enough parmesan cheese to cover entire top
  5. Add entire jar of bacon bits.
  6. Refrigerate over night.
  7. Toss salad just before serving.
