Granular subs tend to bake or cook out when used in these methods-its not overly sweet but if you use it alone uncooked or just by itself as making syrup and not blended in with flour, etc.. then it is sweet..to me this equals just enough what a pancake normally tastes with 3 tbsp of regular sugar..unlike Ideal's brown sugar sub-I would definitely cut that down because its made from fruit/veg sugars and very sweet...I would just use 3 tbsp with Ideal's brown if using in this recipe if you want to modify it..

A whole cup of sugar sub?? That sounds intensely sweet... Good idea though, will play with this recipe.
