why make sandwiches for a group, when you can make a large salad that's not as messy?

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb. bacon cooked
  • 1/2 c. mayo
  • 2 tbl. red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c. fresh chp. basil
  • 4 slices french bread, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. fresh black pepper
  • 1 tbl. EVOO
  • 1 lb romain lettuce, torn
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, quarterd ( or any kind you have chp.)

Directions
  1. Cook bacon and crumble. set aside
  2. brown the french bread cubes in the bacon drippings, drizzle with evoo and season with S&P.
  3. Small bowl, wisk mayo, basil, and vinegar.
  4. In a large bowl mix romain, tomatoes, bacon and croutons. Pour dressing over salad and toss well.
  5. Enjoy!
