How to make it

  • Melt the butter in a medium sized pan over medium high heat. Add the onions, garlic and several good pinches of salt and pepper. Cook until tender.
  • Add the herbs and cayenne and cook for a minute or so.
  • Add the tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 10 minutes or until it reduces to a thickness that you like.
