How to make it

  • Wash n clean meat... peel the potatoes n cut into medium pieces
  • Heat the oil a pressure cooker n add all the dry spices for 1 or 2 mins
  • Then add thinly sliced onions n cook till onion become golden brown in colour add a pinch salt while sauting onion this quickens the process of browing onion
  • Once onion done add ginger garlic paste n stir for a 1 min then add all the dry powder spices along with tomatoes n spear mint and cook till tomatoes softens n spices are mixed well n start leaving oil ... this will take min 5 mins .. dont rush all the taste is in cooking the spices well ....
  • if it starts sticking in the bottom add a little luke warm water n cook
  • Then add meat fry it with spice for next 6 -8 mins ....Add salt to taste
  • a lovely aroma will rise now add potatoes n stir well ... now add luke warm water n cover the lid of the pressure cooker n cook it for another 10-15 mins depending on ur pressure cooker how good it is ... If u dont have a pressure cooker n want to cook it in pot just cook till meat is tender n add potatoes 10 mins before closing the flame as they cook very quickly n keep the flame in medium to slow ....
  • Granish it with cilantro n spearmint n green chilly ....Serve it will steam boiled rice n onion pickle ( refer my recipe of onion pickle) or any green salad
  • Tip :- Adding potatoes nuterilises the spices n even if it become salty ...
  • u can add green peas/ carrots to this recipe
