How to make it

  • Combine the beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly and shape into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
  • Melt the oil in a saucepan. Brown the meatballs lightly on all sides; drain off the fat.
  • Add tomato sauce, cover, and simmer 40 minutes to an hour.
  • **NOTE: Great served over spaghetti or as a side for almost any other Italian pasta dish!
