Beer Bread

- 500 grams self raising flour shopping list
- 1 can of beer (340ml) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 tablespoons olive oil or any vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 can sweetcorn (400grams) shopping list
How to make it
- 1 Sift flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre
- 2 In a jug, mix the beer, oil and salt using a spoon, stir slowly to avoid the beer foaming
- 3 Add the jug mixture to the flour, and mix well then add the sweetcorn and mix again, the mixture should be a sticky dough, add flour or beer to adjust
- 4 Spray a large baking bowl or bread pan with a non stick agent or grease and sprinkle with flour and add the dough
- 5 Leave to stand for 10 minutes to rise
- 6 Bake for about 50 minutes to 1hour in a preheated oven of 200 deg C, test with a skewer, if it comes out dry, your bread is ready. Leave to cool for about 15 minutes before slicing!
- You can add or substitute almost anything to the mixture like chopped bacon, fruit, chilli, garlic or whatever your imagination can conjure. Enjoy!
