Ingredients

How to make it

  • Marinate shrimp in all ingredients listed. Let rest in fridge till ready to cook.
  • Start water boiling for noodles.
  • Start by steaming your broccoli till bright green about 10 min for thinner broccoli. Salt and pepper to taste then add some more salt! You want them a little more salty then normal. See Photo
  • Drain off excess oil and start cooking your shrimp on a preheated skillet at a med-high heat for about 3-4 min on each side till lightly seared and cooked all the way. Remove from heat and set aside. See Photo
  • Start cooking noodles.
  • In Different skillet now saute your minced shallot in butter and olive oil. Once shallots start to go clear add your garlic and saute for about 4 min. Now add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a boil. Add your salt, black, white, and red pepper. Cook until sauce has reduced slightly (5 minutes). Put heat on low and start adding your parmesan and mozzarella. mix well.
  • Drain noodles and return to pot. Pour alfredo sauce ontop of pasta and mix well. Stir in your steamed broccoli and cooked shrimp. Turn heat to low on the pot, add more parmesan to thicken if needed. Cover and heat for 3 more minutes to heat all. Garnish with Parsley!
  • Enjoy!
  • Tip
  • I cant stress enough on getting fresh Shrimp! Wild American shrimp are great. Wash your shrimp then move to a bowl of ice water with lemon squeezed into it. This will help remove the Fishy(iodine) taste/smell.
  • Failure to get fresh shrimp will turn your stomach with a fishy(iodine) taste and ruin your meal.

Garlic is the only way to go when making alfredo sauce! Its been key ingredient in many famous alfredos. Ive never tried it with any sort of subsititute. The tiger prawns are great but a bit too big for this recipe. However you try it i hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the comment.

Are you sure about the garlic? Otherwise sounds delicious. Sure should be rich enough. Afraid I'll have to use Tiger Prawns but they should work. Thanks. RJ
