Minni Pizza

- For dough: shopping list
- 4 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 package active dry yeast shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup warm water shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 Tbs oil shopping list
- For toppings (as desired): shopping list
- 1 large sliced green pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup sliced black olive shopping list
- 500g Italian sausage/ sliced hot dog shopping list
- 2 cup mixture of shredded Mozzarella and Haloumi cheese shopping list
- For Pizza Sauce: shopping list
- 2 medium sized onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 can undrained tomatoes, juiced shopping list
- 3 Tbsp tomato paste shopping list
- 1 leave basil, 1 tsp rosemary, 1 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp pepper and salt for taste shopping list
How to make it
- In a measuring cup, mix yeast, 1/4 cup warm water and sugar. Set aside for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl combine, 1 1/4 cups of the flour, the yeast mixture and salt. Add the remainning warm water and oil. Mix well with hand or electric mixer. Using a spoon, stir in as much of the remaining flour as you can, turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead in enough remaining flour to make a smooth and elastic dough. Divide in half, cover and let rest for 40 min. Mean while prepare pizza sauce.
- Pizza Sauce: In a saucepan, saute onion until brown. Put oil and add garlic, oregano, basil and rosemary and fry for 2 min until it gives fragrance. Add tomato paste and stir for 3 min then add sugar, tomatoe juice, salt an pepper. Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Pizza: On a lightly floured surface, roll each half of dough and using cups or cutter, shape out minni circles. (The remainning cut out dough can be rolled again without kneading). Place them on a greased baking sheets and let rise for 5 min. Bake in 180 degree Celsius about 5 minutes. Spread Pizza Sauce over hot crust, sprinkle the toppings and cheese atop. Bake 10 minutes more.
