Mushrooms In Oyster Sauce
From Cherrill 12 years agoIngredients
- A good helping of button mushrooms (or a mixture of different types according to your favourites) for each person shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- butter shopping list
- oyster sauce - I've tried making this from scratch and found it wasn't worth the considerable effort when the ready made is so good. shopping list
How to make it
- Clean and slice the mushrooms
- In a wok or frying pan, melt the butter into the oil, to give enough to coat the amount of mushrooms you're cooking
- Add the mushrooms and fry until just starting to brown
- Add enough oyster sauce to thoroughly coat the mushrooms, plus a bit more for extra sauce.
- Great as part of a Chinese meal, either as a side dish or stirred into cooked noodles - or fantastic as a topping for steak, pork fillet or chicken
